IT Clinical Analyst I

Job Summary

Assists in running and coordinating virtual reality/immersive research across the hospital. Works closely with the research team to collect study data, maintain research databases, and monitor and troubleshoot issues with study equipment issues.

Job Specific Duties

  • Serves as liaison for the Virtual Reality/Immersive research team with all departments involved with the study. 
  • Works closely with pediatric researchers, surgical staff, and other health care providers. 
  • Works closely with patients and families to obtain study data through mobile platforms.
  • Assists study staff with any concerns or questions by promptly providing the information and feedback as requested. 
  • Enters data in databases, generates reports, performs data/database maintenance, performs data tracking, and performs queries.
  • Maintains and updates patient information in database; ensures data is collected, entered and reported appropriately and completely. 
  • Provides feedback to the research project manager and clinical staff regarding any concerns with the data or any technical issues with the study equipment. 
  • Provides reports to the project manager on progress towards grant milestones and assists in troubleshooting. 


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in Biomedical or Behavioral research fields
  • 3-5 years of experience consenting research participants in healthcare settings
  • 3-5 years of experience entering study-related data into computer systems

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst preferred.
  • Experience working with neurodiverse populations in various settings.
  • Ability to coordinate and run individualized virtual reality training sessions with students with autism.
  • Ability to collect, assess and analyze qualitative and quantitative data from research projects.
  • Ability to effectively co-manage a virtual reality research program.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external program stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management.
  • Working knowledge of virtual reality technology (e.g. headsets) and other immersive technologies.
  • Familiarity with computer-based data tracking systems.
  • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the biomedical, clinical, or behavioral sciences.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with co-workers.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing.
