Fracture Care Coord (Full Time, Day shift)

Job Summary
Coordinate patient care for all fracture patients. Schedule appointments, obtain referrals, assist during clinic hours, and reconcile daily charges and notes.
Minimum Job Requirements

2-5 years of clinical, physician, and/or medical clerical office experience required.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Provides clerical and administrative support to the Leaders and Physicians.
- Ensures medical supplies and inventory are maintained for the clinics.
- Obtains all necessary authorization & documentation prior to patient visit.
- Coordinate patient care for fracture patients from UCC’s and other facilities.
- Schedule appointments/registers patients in PEDS schedule book and coordinates referrals for Ortho & Radiology x-rays.
- Manage clinic flow, greets, route, and assist patients with questions and/or concerns.
- Coordinate follow-up care including diagnostic testing, rehab, and future appointments.
- Reconcile billing charges and clinic notes for physicians.
- Maintain database of patient volume, demographics, and origin of initial care.
- Coordinates staff (Ortho Techs and Physician Assistants) coverage for clinics on a daily basis.
- Oversee and coordinate volunteer resources assistances at the clinic.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Knowledge of electronic patient scheduling.
- Ability to multi-task and work in high volume environment.
- Able to adapt and react calmly under stressful conditions.
- Able to set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Abilities in prioritizing, successfully handling multiple concurrent tasks, strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and working in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and flexibly with minimal supervision.
- Ability to represent department/function in a professional, courteous and efficient manner.
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
