Description
Transition RN Program starts March 2, 2026 Accepting applications from January 4th thru 11th, 2026 Only!
At Nicklaus Children’s Hospital our mission is to provide the best care to every child. Our Transitional Nurse Residency Program was specifically designed to support the professional growth of our internal licensed practical nurses (LPNs) into their new role as Registered Nurses (RNs) within the same department they currently work in as an LPN. Candidates must be currently working at Nicklaus in the role of an LPN and be looking to stay within the same department. Standardized nursing residency programs are best practice and have been proven to decrease turnover, decrease medication errors, increase engagement and strengthen nursing knowledge and skills which support quality patient care. Nurses are given a thorough orientation through didactic curriculum, interactive online modules, simulation, and hands on training with their preceptors. The result is a gain of increased proficiency and clinical experience across multiple specialties.
***The following are the requirements and the process to follow in order to qualify for the Transitional Program.
